Womens’s Aid Leicestershire
Women’s Aid Leicestershire Ltd (WALL) offers support to victims of sexual and domestic violence, accompanying survivors on every step of their journey, whilst also working to prevent future violence. We offer Independent Domestic Violence Advisors and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors who provide an advocacy service for high risk victims. We also offer safe temporary refuge accommodation.
We are also a member of the UAVA consortium alongside FreeVA and LWA.
United Against Violence and Abuse is a consortium of three local specialist providers of domestic abuse and sexual violence services, incorporating Women’s Aid Leicestershire Ltd, FreeVA and Living Without Abuse. UAVA aims to provide a simplified journey, which can be accessed by anyone who has been affected by domestic abuse and or sexual violence. It provides a helpline, an IDVA and ISVA service, outreach services, therapeutic services, refuge accommodation and a perpetrator intervention programme.
h3. Jasmine House
Jasmine House offers confidential support and counselling for women and girls aged 13+ who have been a victim of sexual violence.
Our service includes a telephone helpline, a face to face support service, face to face counselling, a young persons worker for girls aged 13 – 19 and an Independent Sexual violence advisor.
h3. First Step
First Step Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland provides counselling/support to male survivors of sexual abuse (aged 13 years and over) and their supporters.
We provide a free, confidential service to survivors living in the city of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland to enable survivors to take the first step towards feeling less isolated through increased personal power to make choices.
At the heart of all First Step services is the principle that each individual has the right to respect, to be believed and to an environment that is safe.
We are located in Leicester City Centre.
