We work with professionals from healthcare, law enforcement, social services, and specialist support organisations. Our goal is to ensure that every individual who walks through the door of Juniper Lodge receives seamless, compassionate support\u2014whether they choose to report the assault or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the heart of this collaboration is clear communication and shared responsibility. Forensic nurses and doctors work closely with crisis workers to provide both medical care and emotional support. If the survivor consents, police officers may be involved to collect evidence or take a statement, but their presence is always handled with sensitivity.
Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs) play a key role in bridging the gap between services, advocating for the survivor\u2019s needs and helping them navigate the criminal justice system if they choose to pursue it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We also partner with local charities, mental health services, and safeguarding teams to ensure long-term support beyond the initial visit. This might include referrals for counselling or protection for vulnerable individuals. By working collaboratively, SARCs create a safety net that respects each survivor\u2019s autonomy while offering comprehensive care.
